Recent studies with electron microscopes have found out more and more about mosquitoes, including how their mouths work differently than previously thought. In fact, the mosquito’s mouth parts work much differently. Their mouths actually stick into the skin, but once stuck, their mouths can twist and turn, looking for a vein to puncture. While this discovery is fairly new, Ellis believes it might change how we fight back mosquitoes.
