“Remember that rats are blind, so they feel their way with their whiskers to point A to point B,” Cardon said.
To properly set up a glue board for rats you need to place it up against the baseboard, so it is parallel. The rat will feel their way along the baseboard where eventually it will catch the rat. The glue board must be in the middle for this to work.
“You want to put it right in the middle…because that is where they’re gonna be at a full sprint,” Cardon said.
Cardon shares a story where he had a customer with a rat eating their food in fruit baskets. He tried the same steps where he placed the glue boards against the baseboard. The next day he saw that the rat was caught in the trap.
